We have been filming at an exclusive private golf club called the Centurion Club,  near St Albans, over the last two weeks.
The golf course has been open for 3 years and is fast becoming one of the leading golf courses in the U.K.
The challenging course layout, which meanders over spectacular topography, features some 80 bunkers, four major water features and undulating bent grass greens.
Bent grass greens are rare in the UK, because they are difficult to maintain, but they give a lightning quick true putting surface. Most of the best golf courses in the world have bent grass greens.

We were testing our latest Aerial Golf Course photography ideas you can check them out here.  These include smooth in one take fly-throughs of each hole and our drones following the flight of each shot for the perfect par round.
The new £3.7 million clubhouse is now nearing completion and is ready for a soft opening in August. There is a top quality restaurant Galvin, operated by the award Winning Galvin Restaurants group, which were voted Best French Restaurant,
The chef Brothers Chris & Jeff Galvin were the first ever British brothers to both gain a Michelin Star and have built up a group of restaurants around London and Edinburgh.
Throughout August Galvin at Centurion Club will be open for members for Friday dinner, Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch.
When open fully in September, members will be able to make bookings directly with the club, or by using a priority telephone number and email address for the Galvin at Centurion reservations team.  The restaurant will be open to the non-members.
The quality of the clubhouse construction, interior design and internal finishes reflect the stated aim of the owners, to be a 5 star golf experience.
In a golf industry that has seen very few new golf developments in the last 10 years in the UK. The Centurion Club has been recognised by the golfing press as a truly remarkable place to play golf, less than 45 minutes from central London.
The Centurion management aim is to make sure that the golf course is in immaculate condition year-round, as well as providing unmatched facilities and customer service.
The relaxed family friendly approach to golf at the Centurion Club is a great attraction to people who are tired of the stuffy old style golf clubs.
There are five different types of membership at the Centurion Club with a limit of 480 for the main category, so a very exclusive club.
The Club provides golfers the opportunity to join a superior private golfing facility with membership options designed to offer greater flexibility to suit each member’s lifestyle.
There are key member benefits with access to other private golf clubs around the world via the Centurion Club’s link to the Troon Golf network.
The Centurion Club operates as a private club, strictly for the use of its members and their invited guests, except for the Galvin at Centurion Club restaurant, which is located on the ground floor of the clubhouse, with it own entrance.
We will be back filming at the Centurion Club towards the end of August when the builder’s have completely finished.  You can view various photos in this article.
